Simply send us your loose photographs, and we will handle the rest – scanning them at a standard 600dpi, adjusting their orientation and enhancing before returning them to you in a digital format.

Procedures


  • We use the latest high quality dedicated Photo Scanners that are designed specifically for scanning photographs. Scans are at the higher resolution of 600dpi as standard.

  • Photos are converted to digital images to allow you to easily share with family and friends, either by email, social media, cloud download.

  • Loose photos are bundles or packs of photographs that are not mounted in a frame or glued to a board.

  • There is no need to count the photos precisely, as we always adjust to the exact number of photographs scanned.
  • As a rule of thumb a regular shoe box generally holds around 900-1000 stacked photographs.  This will help you to estimate the total number of photographs you have.

  • Our photo scanners produce a good quality reproduction of the original print, although any noticeable marks or scratches on the original photograph will also appear on the scanned image.

  • All items should be free from staples, paper clips, adhesive pads, blu-tac, debris (such as album backing paper or glue residue) or any other foreign object that may damage our scanners.

  • Each batch of images will be placed into named folder, using either the given description or a unique incrementing number.

  • All photos are standard digital JPEG files which you can view and edit as you would any digital image.

  • Payment is always required prior to us despatching any completed order back to you. We notify you once your order is completed.               
  • Originals are returned along with your digital images.

  • We can handle any sized colour or black and white photograph from 2" to A4 size.

  • Most older photos will benefit from some form of colour restoration, which is why we include it free with all scans.


  • Return of original Photos by Courier will be at their current/negotiated rate.
  • Physical return of Photos by FSCMS personel: Timing will be determined as ASAP after project completion.
  • Converted Photos will be availabe, if prefered, via a private supplied Dropbox link immediatly after scanning, at no charge.
  • Completed conversions can also be delivered via USB stick,or CD/DVD. Please add $3-00.
